How to combine shipping and/or a custom assortment to be boxed together in the flat rate shipping boxes?
Yes, often multiple items can ship in the same envelope, or Flat Rate boxes, or Fedex boxes.
We can easily box and check your combined orders to make sure your items fit and check shipping if you would like, just ask.
We use USPS Priority Mail Flat rate envelopes, and boxes on 99% of orders. Typically it is much cheaper for US, and Worldwide shipping. Within the USA you can email us directly for large orders with UPS, or FedEx Home/Ground shipping.
~~~Take out the guess work, We can send custom invoices for combined purchases through Paypal, or Google checkout at anytime-Email us directly with what your interested in, along with your shipping address, and your email address. We will create & send a custom email invoice to you if you prefer, just ask.
Most item listings state how many like items will fit within the same box.
How does the shipping Matrix combine shipping?
First, it totals the weights, and also the volume of the object(s) and figures the shipping to the closest box size, and sometimes on smaller items it will check the envelope size to see if it will, or will not fit....if it will not fit in an envelope it will automatically bump it into a box rate.
Does it always work correctly? Usually it is pretty close. A few items have needed to have the shipping manually adjusted after you have placed your order.
How it works in a nutshell: Google Checkout orders are automatically set to ping your account for fraud checks through them before we even receive any order notifications . This is done solely by Google and normally takes between 1-3 hours on their part...remember this is for your safety.
After all checks from Google pass. We get an order notification from Google and can at this point o.k. the amount of the entire order that originally was approved by Google checkout, or We have that option at that point only...We can charge less overall to combine shipping, orders, etc. if need be.
So, that being said. At this point we box, and check the shipping on your items. If they fit in a smaller Flat Rate box, or Fedex Ground for cheaper. We will charge less for the entire order overall. On orders charged less, We often will make a note in with your tracking numbers, and info that Google Checkout sends from their notification service when your item is shipped.
Note: This is the only way we can communicate with you if you opt out of email contact during checkout...so check your tracking confirmations. If you have listed your email addresses, We will often send you a "Reduced Shipping" notice and Thank you personally.
We appreciate your patience with the shipping calculator....remember it has to be able to figure shipping on thousands of items of all shapes and sizes, and it is amazing it does pretty well at being pretty accurate considering it calculates US/APO/FPO and worldwide shipping on everything from Kool-aid packets to large cases of items like chips, diapers, cereal, etc..
If you place an order, and the shipping is figured too high automatically, when we process our orders through Google checkout we either run the initial charge for less, as with Google checkout. If you choose Paypal, we manually issue a refund for the difference as a separate credit.
All APO/FPO orders must be processed by invoice, please email us it is faster!

How much can you ship in the USPS Flat rate envelopes or boxes?
We can pack as much as will fit into the envelope, but it can not weigh more than 4 pounds if shipping inside or outside of the United States.
All items are usually calculated correctly to fit into the appropriate envelope, or box. Your item(s) are shipped in the flat rate envelopes if they will fit. The size of these envelopes inside is very restrictive, and they can not be re-taped for extra security, or altered in anyway. The enclosure strip on the envelope is the only means of securing the contents within the envelope. This severely limits usability.
The USPS (United States Postal Service) Offers several size of Flat Rate Shipping Boxes . You can ship up to 20 pounds inside or outside the USA in one Flat Rate Box.
Examples of cramming the box:
Example 1) You can fit 6 Hills Bros Cappuccino's and 64 ounces of Sunmaid regular raisins in 1 box perfectly, or if your not in the mood for raisins, you could fit a 60 oz bag M&M's, or the 5 pound bag of Wonka Runts.
Example 2) You can perfectly fit 8 or 9 regular sized (single size) cake mixes in one box.
Example 3) You can fit 4 or 5 regular sized cake mixes and a few frostings in one box.
Example 4) You can perfectly fit 9 of the 28 oz Skippy extra chunky peanut butter jars in one box.
Example 5) You can perfectly fit 23 General Foods International Coffees in one box.
Example 6) You can fit 2 of the Eight O'clock coffee 42 ounce bags in one box, and 3 in the larger box.
So, if you are unsure if you have room for 1, or 2 more items...just ASK! It just takes a few minutes to check for you!
What is the cost to ship in a USPS Flat Envelope, or Flat rate box?
The postal rate on packages went up on January 18, 2009. Up until 4/1/09 we have been paying the difference in shipping. We are manually changing the shipping figures on each item listing.
The current shipping fees are as follows as of 4/01/2009:
For the USPS Priority Mail Flat rate up to 4 pound weight limit envelopes, or the up to 4 pound weight limit very small media size boxes within the United States or to APO/FPO addresses the current cost is $6.00.
Within Canada, or Mexico the cost is $11.00.
Worldwide the cost is $14.00.
For the USPS Priority mail Flat Rate Boxes shipping within the USA, or the APO/FPO addresses either $11.00 for the smaller 8" x 12" x 5" box, or $14.60 for the larger 12" x 12" x 5" box.
**Please note, shipping to military addresses has to be done manually thru direct invoicing. The shipping calculator does not recognize APO/FPO addresses. Let us know what you are interested in and we can send you an invoice thru either Paypal, or Google Checkout, and it is a little cheaper, and quicker. ***
USPS Flate Rate shipping boxes within Canada and Mexico $32.95.
Worldwide $53.95. You can ship up to 20 pounds in each International priority mail USPS flat rate box.

Why are no Chocolate items showing up in that category today?
We have 2 warehouse locations. 1 in Florida and also 1 in Alabama which is right along the Gulf Coast Beaches of the Sunny Florida and Alabama Border. We are family owned and operated!
We begin our Chocolate sales in the beginning of October, and run through May usually. Even if your Chocolate items are packed carefully they may still sit in a Hot delivery truck during the shipping process, or a hot mailbox. Therefore, we ship at the appropriate time of year that this should not be a problem because it is cooler. Meltage can still occur if left on a Sunny doorstep.
Can I order custom assortments made for my firm to send as Christmas Gifts on my behalf?
Yes, You can pick 1 item, or a custom boxed assortment of items made especially of your choosing. You may have them boxed together sent in 1 shipment to your home, or office. You may also have the gift(s) mailed individually to them. You may choose them to be Gift wrapped, or you can use seasonal outer decorated shipping boxes (slight additional cost) or you can choose to send as we usually do in the USPS flat rate boxes.
We can ship with our return shipping labels on the parcels, or we can custom print yours, or a Holiday Greeting. We can ship in the US, Canada, Mexico, or Worldwide.

Yes, we can send an invoice through Google checkout, or Paypal if you prefer. Just email us we are here for you.
Note, we invoice all APO/FPO orders.
How long does it take to get my purchases?
We package and ship most orders that same day if the are received before ~2pm Central time. On Saturday if received before 10am Central time. Sunday orders ship Monday morning. Typically most items take 4 days to receive in the US, or upto 4 days during peak Holiday shipping.
Most overseas orders arrive in about 14-16 businessdays. Keep in mind they have to pass through customs in the USA, and then pass through customs in your receiving country.
This process can be longer if you order any food items not acceptable in your country, please check the www.usps.com websites International shipping page for restrictions. They are posted and changed often. You are responsible for knowing what items are prohibited in your country. For Example: You can not ship Jerky into Australia, and you can not ship anything with Honey in it to the Far East, etc..
APO/FPO quotes and USPS Shipping regulations as of Sept 1, 2009.
The shipping matrix over calculates postage as it sees APO/FPO addresses as overseas shipping. Normally the largest flat rate box is $14.90 and you can stuff it to fill! These are 12 x 12 x by 5.5" inches and you can fit a nice variety of items. If you and a few friends want items delivered to the same APO/FPO we can box items together and same each of you on shipping!

Military Mail Restrictions as of September 10, 2009
Each country has customs regulations that apply to all incoming mail. These may include prohibitions on certain kinds of food or entertainment products. Military units may also have additional restrictions imposed by the unit commanders, such as those on size and weight, to ensure logistics support can handle the mail along with other necessities. The maximum length of a package in any category is 72 inches. In addition, Military ZIP Code restrictions may be revised as military units move to different locations. While there are specific restrictions for each five-digit military (APO/FPO) Post Office area, generally speaking, it is prohibited to mail the following:
* obscene articles (pictures, paintings, cards, films, videotapes, etc.)
* any matter depicting nude or seminude persons, pornographic or sexual items, or non-authorized political materials
* bulk quantities of religious materials contrary to the Islamic faith. Items for the personal use of the recipient are permissible
* pork or pork by-products
All applicable restrictions for about 3,000 overseas military ZIP Codes are entered into the United States Postal Service computer terminals and published in the Postal Bulletin. Or, for specific restrictions to an APO/FPO location, you can call 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777) or consult your local Post Office.
Note: The intent of the customs prohibition against mailing religious items stems from the host country's concern about distributing these materials to its citizens. Mailing a Bible or other individual religious item if it is solely for the personal use of the service member should not be an issue.

We are making the integration onto the web. It will take quite sometime to get all the products we have available up and loaded onto the website. We have many items that move quickly that we don't have listed on our sitye as they inventory listings would have to be adjusted so often it is was easier not to list some items. If you don't see something you were looking for just ask. We work as much as we can around our daily operations schedule of multiple stores.
HUGE order? We can box and send Fedex Ground in the USA.
On most everyday orders of a few things USPS is the way to go as the shipping is fast, and usually cheaper.
On the other hand, If you want several larger items, or a bigger variety of items. We can box, and ship Fedex ground pretty reasonably. A few of our recent orders shipped several more items, to the same location for about the same price.
Feel free to ask. I recently shipped 10 Duncan hines cake mixes from us in Florida, to California in the Fedex 12x12x12 inch shipping box. It will take 2 days longer to get that far away, but I could have shipped 18 in that box the same location for about $18.00 which is less than $1 a pound.
Fedex is better for larger orders especially if you are on the east coast.
Is this item subject to the Peanut Butter Recall?
All recall items have been put on hold in our store. There are only a few products we carry that currently are questionable. We made the decision to pull them to be on the safe side. Most name brand companies where now effected. Smuckers, Jif, Nutello, Peter Pan are safe and not effected. We check the FDA/USDA updates each morning and receive the updates by text throughout the day and make any adjustments necessary.
The FDA and the USDA posts all recalls, and they can be checked for up to the minute information 24/7. the link is below and you can copy paste this information into your web browser and check for other products you may already have in your pantry at home.

We have 3 stores, 1 in Florida, 1 in Alabama, and 1 in Louisiana.
All orders processed through Paypal by credit card or e-check are processed through Green Gables Grocery/WorldStoreOne.com. Due to space limitations usually only Green Gables shows in the name space, and not the remainder of the name. We are one in the same. One is simply the mail order end and the other is our bricks n mortar store, but they all process through the one jointly name account.
